Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Convertly ("we", "the Software") collects, why, and how we handle it. Convertly is operated by Alfredo, based in Guatemala. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, Inc. as Merchant of Record.
1. Data You Process Yourself
Convertly is self-hosted. Invoices, documents, and any data you process through the Software stay on your infrastructure. We do not collect, store, or have any access to your invoice data, extracted JSON, customer files, or processing logs.
OCR (docTR) and the language model (Ollama / Llama) run inside Docker containers on your hardware. No data is transmitted to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any third-party AI service.
2. Data the Demo Page Collects
Our public landing page at pokusalfredo-beep.github.io/convertly-landing/
hosts a "live demo" widget. Files you upload to the demo:
- Are sent to our public demo backend over HTTPS
- Are processed and the resulting JSON returned
- Are NOT stored persistently — discarded immediately after the response is generated
- Do generate access logs (IP, timestamp, request size) for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for 30 days.
If you want to evaluate Convertly with sensitive data, download the Software (trial mode is free) and process it locally.
3. Data Lemon Squeezy Collects (Purchases)
When you purchase a license, Lemon Squeezy processes payment, billing, and tax compliance. They collect:
- Email address
- Billing name and address
- Payment method (card details — handled by Stripe under the hood)
- IP address and country (for tax calculation)

We receive from Lemon Squeezy: your email, license tier purchased, and a generated license key. We do not see your card data.
4. License Validation
When the Software starts, it contacts Lemon Squeezy's licensing API to verify your license key is valid. The only data sent is the license key itself. No invoice data, customer data, or usage metrics are sent.
5. Email Communication
We may email you at the address Lemon Squeezy provides to:
- Deliver your license key after purchase
- Send security patches or critical updates
- Respond to your support requests
We do not send marketing emails. We do not share your email with third parties.
6. Cookies and Tracking
The landing page does not use marketing cookies, analytics trackers, or fingerprinting. It loads Tailwind CSS from a public CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) — that CDN may set its own cookies.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / LFPDPPP / Ley 25.326)
If you are in the EU, Mexico, or Argentina (or anywhere with applicable privacy law) you have the right to:
- Access the data we have about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Data portability

8. Data Retention
- Purchase records (email, license tier, license key): retained while your license remains active, plus 7 years for tax/accounting compliance.
- Demo access logs: 30 days.
- Support emails: 2 years from last contact.
9. Children's Privacy
Convertly is a B2B developer tool. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified by email to existing licensees. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
